Default Plug Wires

I need to replace my plug wires. My A6 has 105,000 miles and I had one wire fail. The shop I brought it to installed a used one as a temporary fix. I am a firm believer in buying the factory replacement plug wires but I don't want to spend over $300 for them. Has anyone bought replacement wires, what kind were they, and did they work?

Thanks,

Pete

umm.. what year A6? C5 V6's didn't have plug wires. they have individual coil packs above each plug.

I just bought a Bosch OE wire set from Arizona Autohaus for $ 81... shipping will be free (over $ 50 purchase).

Become an unfirm believer in factory plug wires unless you have movey to burn. There are many other sources of good or better wires that cost significantly less. stay away from the factory/dealer rip off unless you have to.

Try Force Five for plug wires --

Believe me, I checked prices all around and I doubt you'll find cheaper than $ 81; of course, unless you buy Duralast brand.
Anyway, it wouldn't be the first or last time when I purchase something and find a slightly better price afterward.

Agree.. crappy 6mm-7mm higher-than-crap-ohms-per-foot OEM wires blow...

I believe I saw Taylor? had nice EMI/RF suppression wires that were 25 ohms per foot

Just gotta wait till they make a set for the 2.8L
