Default Problem with 2.8

Hello everyone,
I got into an accident in my 2.8 2002 v6 passat. I ran into a truck in front of me and the guys hitch went right through the hood and punched a hole in the rad and broke the cam gear on the left side of the engine. We replaced the radiator, bracketing, air box, air condenser, cam gear, complete timing job, flushed the transmission, changed out the coil pack, spark plugs, and headlights.

Engine light was still flashing, so we used the vag-com tool and scanned the car and it came up:

4 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-00 - -
16687 - Cylinder 3: Misfire Detected
P0303 - 35-00 - -
16686 - Cylinder 2: Misfire Detected
P0302 - 35-00 - -
16690 - Cylinder 6: Misfire Detected
P0306 - 35-00 - -

We have had 3 different people time it and hooked up a scan tool to it each time and always it comes up with the same message as above. Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for the long post.

It sounds like the timing job or coil pack is suspect. It takes some special tools to time the cams right, you might not have it right quite yet.

When you say Can gear something actually entered the engine with enough force to beak the gear the timing belt runs on ? I would imagine close inspection of the cam and associated hardware in in order..

Hey guys, thanks for the input but We figured out that we have some bent valve on cylinders 2 and 3. the compression in those cylinders is 0, well the others are between 150-160.
