Problem! Got oil change Sat and Sun morning lot of oil smoke out the exhaust
Hey guys, not sure if its connected or not, but I got an oil change, using 5w30 Quaker State Euro Synthetic, on Sat afternoon. I drove a decent amount after that and all seemed ok. I didnt drive hard because I also suspect a boost leak, but I drove about 200-250 miles after that on Sat. Then Sunday, after car sat overnight, I start it up in the morning and a lot of blue oil smoke came out of my exhaust. Then later in the day, after sitting about 6 hours, I started it again and it only smoked a little but still noticeable. Then this morning, after an overnight, it was not as bad as Sun morning but again still a noticeable amount..
I never noticed any smoke from my exhaust before, car has always ran great with the exception of the recent boost leak. Is it a possible connection to the oil change? Or is there something else I should look into immediately??

Go back to the guys that did the oil change and complain. Give them a chance to verify the problem andfix it. Make sure they do it right by checking the oil before leaving and get some type of doccumentation that they redid the oil if you can.
Keep records of the problem because the excessive oil might screw up the 02 sensors orthe cats...

Well it turned out they either added oil twice or never drained the old because they drained out a lot before getting down to the full line. So it was estimated double capacity. So they made good on it and also documented it with an incident report in case it damaged something. Also threw in my next 2 oil changes with Synthetic for free. They run $87 with tax.. So they re did this one and I get free ones for a while. So end result I am happy with. Hopefully when she starts up tomorrow there is no smoke. Still have what I suspect is a boost leak, but will know more tomorrow when I get that checked by SSP Tuning. Keep some fingers crossed that my turbos are still good and its just a boost leak or something...
Your turbos should be ok, but your PCV system might be pretty damn dirty now, as well as having a lot of oil in your intake lines. You may notice blue smoke coming out of your exhaust for a little while longer.
