Lot's of Exhaust Smoke

Exhaust Smoke
Hello all,
I have a 2009 3.2 A5 with 24k miles on it and it's giving out a lot of thin grey exhaust smoke, just like the engine is cold, but all the time, even in my garage which is warm. I have read that a warm engine shouldn't give off smoke like this. I have also noticed that it doesn't get ignition right away when I push in the start key.
What steps should I take and does anyone have a similar experience?

How do you know it is "smoke" and not condensation? In colder weather the condensation from combustion is more noticeable. If it's smoke, it's either unburned gas (light gray) or oil (darker gray). If your oil level is good, the inside of the exhaust tips are not carboned up badly, and the exhaust does not stink of gasoline, I would ignore it.
