Is there a high possibility that it's the fuel filter that needs to be changed?

Also, can somebody tell me what the deal with the code I'm getting is:

Cylinder #1 Fuel Injector Circuit - Open Circuit

Again, I'm getting this code for cylinders 1-6, for a total of 6 codes.

Well I'm not too familiar with those codes on Audi's....but I am aware to know that having that many codes that closely related can be caused by one single problem.

A total of six codes all reading the same all of the sudden have got to be linked to something else.

The possibility of your fuel filter causing these is very likely. In my line of work (at Advance Auto Parts)...I've seen this type of situation being caused by something as simple as a fuel filter. Then again I am nowhere close to being knowledgeable about Audi's computer systems. But like I've said, it wouldn't hurt to start with changing out your fuel filter.....it's probably one of the cheapest "fixes" you could start with unless you have access to VAG-COM software.

Thanks, that makes sense that one problem should be causing all 6 codes.

Does anyone know a link to step-by-step instructions for changing a fuel filter?

sure theres a writeup somewhere...but if you look underneath the passenger side of the car and find the filter...it's pretty self explanatory on what you need to do to change it. I was surprised to find how accessible it is on our cars and how easy it was to swap it out with a new one. for some reason Ford and Chevy make changing their filters a pain in the a**

Thanks everyone, just one last question:

Any recommendations as to what type of filter to buy and from where?
