Default Radio in SAFE MODE?

Radio is in safe mode and I don't have the code. Is there anyway backdoors to get the radio to function? I called the dealer and they want the car brought in to reset the code. Thought I would ask the question before I spend the time and money.

Thanks.

Default not dealer only

I hope you didn't pay the dealership. All you have to do is go to walmart and buy 2 sets of radio removal keys ( you need two set because they only come 2 in an pack and you need 4 keys ) Remove the radio, and write down the AUZ number thats etched into the side of the radio. Write down you vin number and then call Audi Customer Experience Center at 1-800-822-2834. Press the right options and get live help. Tell them the problem, they will ask a few questions. Give them your VIN and the AUX number off of the radio. You will have the code within the hour. If they don't have it on file they have to look it up and call you back with the code. Its completely free, the dealership makes a free half hour of labor off of all the people that have this problem. I didn't have a radio for 6 months because I refused to believe it was a dealership only fix. I knew i was right, just didn't think it would take 6 months to figure it out!

I think you beeter off going with Chris options otherwise you gonna pay the money to the dealer.

remember et walmart, those keys are called european keys for audio set removal. It is really hard to find. Or you may go to a technician for car and have it remove for you. It may ask you to pay but don't because some are nice.
