is the operation of the remote entry tied into the antenna at all? my 98 A6Q's antenna wand is broken off at the base and the remote is not working. i've replaced the batteries in both remote, but no luck. i've got the instructions to re-programming the remotes, but is there a trick to this, 'cause it's not working. started thinking that maybe the missing antenna has something to do with it. any suggestions/comments.
