Default reservoir display

My yellow windshield low fluid warning is being displayed on my dash read out. My windshield washer fluid container is full. Anybody have any ideas?

Also, not sure if it is related, but my pop up headlamp washer jets do not work as well when activated?

1999 Audi A6 Quattro.

Thanks

I would assume there is a fluid level sensor that is either faulty or the connection is corroded. No advice on the headlight washers. Many people disable them because they use a lot of fluid. Personally, I love mine.

I pulled the connection loose and it is not corroded. Where is the fluid level sensor located? How to check?

Thanks!

i think he was saying to pull the connection to the fluid level sensor. If you did that as stated, then you know where the sensor is located.

I pulled the tank out, took more time than I thought as I kept hoping to work it loose.

Faulty sensor in the washer tank. Installed new one....light on dash gone.
