2002 A6 Quattro, 3.0 Automatic
Lately (past 2 weeks) the car has been running really rough shortly after starting it up. Heres how it went down last time:

1) Started car and backed out of garage
2) Made a U-turn and drove 100 yards to red light
3) Sat at red light
4) After 5-10 seconds, the car began idling VERY roughly, and the tach was jumping around.
5) This continued until I was able to drive again, at which point it went away/was unnoticeable.
6) At the next red light, everything seemed normal!

This has happened a couple times. Any ideas?

 

It could be your timing belt...

 

There are only 61k miles on the car - that seems a bit low for the timing belt to fail.

Aren't there SERIOUS implications if the timing belt fails on the A6?
