Default RSN-e

Hey A6'ers,
I'm looking to sell my navigation unit out of my 2006 A4 and have been asked by someone with a 98 A6 if the unit will fit in his car. Can anyone confirm or deny this? If confirmed, does anyone know where he can buy a wiring harness since I'm sure the adapter I have for my A4 will not work ...

I suppose it could fit, but a 98 A6 uses a single din Concert stereo. your RNS-E is a double din (twice the size). So with enough dash modifications I'm sure you could get it to fit.

So the quick answer is NO.

If he/she were to convert their dash to the 2000+ double din Symphony stereo layout, then yes it would fit. But wiring it up, well, ?
