s-line stiff suspension
Hi all, im new to the forum.
I recieved my Audi A6 S-line (C6 Chassis) last week. Great car all over, great looks and seats.
I've been driving this weekend on the motorway and on fairly good roads.
I have found the suspension to be quiet stuff, i've dropped the pressure to 32 PSI in front and 29 PSI in the rear, i have 245/50/18" setup. Theseare the recomended tyre pressures for 2 passengers. Although this has helped a bit, the setup is still a bit jarring on long dips, speed bumps, and even high frequency ripples. I just feel this is too harsh, as youare always premptingthe next minor road defect.
The question is, what is the biggest issue here, the wheel/tyre size, or would fitting some KONI FSD's shocks help, and if i changed to Koni, would i have to change the springs too? I do not wish to raise the car, the S-LINE comes with a 30mm drop.
I have driven the A4 S-line is is no where near as stiff as the A6.
Any help/advice would be apprecaited.
Wes

RE: s-line stiff suspension
Hi, just took my car in today back to audi - only had it 5 days.
They test drove it and they say there is nosuspension travil on the rear shocks, which explains why i was severly dissapointed with the firmness.
I dont mind some stiffness, but jaw braking is out of the question.
They are going to be fixing it, so in a few days ill get to see just how the s-line is ment to feel. If that doesnt cure it, i will be forced to trade in my A6 s-line which i otherwise love.
