I saw an article on AudiWorld tech showing how to install Sat Radio in an 04, to the existing Bose setup. Would this be an option on my 01?? That would be sweet as hell! The head unit on the how-to looked just like mine..

 

I don't think the SAT option is available unless you have a model with the shark fin antenna. I think the first model is 2003, but I am not an Audi expert.....yet!

 

Yep Drone is right anything over an 03 already has the wires pre-routed into the trunk that just plugs into the satellite radio unit, you would have to install an aftermarket system.

 

Yeah, when I looked closer at the head unit shown it has the "SAT" button & mine doesnt. Very similar looking at first, but I noticed the difference. Thanks anyway..
