Default Seeking advise

Hi all,

I'm looking at purchasing my first audi a6 this weekend. I found a 1998 A6, but it has 90000 miles on clock. Looks great and has always been serviced at Audi dealership, one owner. What do you guys think of the car in general and mechanically. Are they reliable or do they require constant repair? What are the gearboxes like? Anybody ever had trouble with the gearbox?

Ild appreciate all feedback.

Mileage shouldn't be an issue but it depends on the price and the condition of the vehicle. If the vehicle doesn't leak any fluids, shifts fine, runs nice, then I would say go for it.
Everyone may ask what engine is in it in order to better answer your question in detail.

You should not get a 2000 year or older if you are looking into modifying the car. The 2000+ is just better technology

Its a 2.4L standard. But it has the full RS8 body kit and 18 inch RS8 wheels. Im in Australia and so prices are different, im looking at paying 18K.
