Default Should I buy an 2005 A6 3.2?

Thinking about making the switch back to an Audi. From a job change a year ago, I am back in the sales field so starting to put more miles on. In past years I have had both a '99 A4 and then a '00 S4. Still miss my S4. Two kids now, so the wife said go for the A6.

Here is what I am searching for:
2005 A6 3.2L Quattro
55K-70K Miles
Loaded, but I'm sure all of then are

So here is where I could use some help on the A6:
1) I plan to put 100K miles on the car once I get it, any factory differences I should know about to help longevity?
2) What are the known failure points to look for?
3) Any known electrical gremlins?
4) Besides looks, which are killer, any performance differences between the '04 and the '05? Key mechanical updates, such as the timing chain?
5) What are the "I wish I had it" options that I can hunt down.

I travel nationally and am in no hurry to buy, so once I go this route I can be patient and find exactly what I want. Thanks for the help.

4) '04 is the old model, the new one is model year '05 and newer for saloon, '06 and newer for Avant

5) AMI (Ipod and other devices connector), sat-nav, sports-seats (S-line), Xenon lights and BOSE stereo are REALLY nice.
