Default Significant Power Increase on a Budget, Possible?

Have a 2000 2.7T and am looking for a way to increase power by a decent amount on a budget. Right now I cant spare that much cash but later on down the road I will be able to. With other cars I would just do headers, intake, exhaust, and such stuff as that, but cant do headers because...well...of Turbo's, which isnt a bad thing heh. Exhaust I could still do, what is the optimum size for exhaust? And as far as Intake's I was looking at the S-Flow but I cant see how it would be much better then stock. Any help would be appreciated.

Another question (for the future perhaps) is about upgrading the Turbo's. What all is required with upgrading to K04's? And if I do that will I have to build the engine or is it just replace the Turbo's and go? Any good kits out there? Thanks for all the help!

custom tuned ecu chip from VAST performance in detroit. they do the whole "try before you buy" type thing, so they'll write you a tune, let you try it for a little bit, and if you don't like it, they'll change it for you so you're completely happy with it before you have to pay for it. i'm thinking of getting both an ecu chip from them and a tranny chip here pretty soon. i've also heard that they're cheaper than ordering a chip through GIAC, but don't quote me on that because i don't know from experience yet. i have heard that they're better than the standard GIAC chip though, especially because they can fine tune it to your liking.

Is it possible to send your ECU in to VAST for them to tune and do it through the mail? Or do you have to actually be there? Thanks for the replys!

Yes you can send in your ECU to vast. I have a vast tune on my car definitely worth the money. Vast is big into the A6 side of the Audi's both in the 4.2 and the 2.7T
