Silicone TBB???
Can anyone here please help me find this item?
I know the two main TBB upgrades seem to be APR bipipe and the Samco silicone TBB. I found anotheroption that molded the stock TBB using silicone. The problem is I forget where I saw this. I have been searching high and low and can't figure out where I saw it. I want to say it was one of the performance parts websites (definitely not ebay). If anyone here knows what the hell I am speaking of, please provide a link. Again, it looks pretty stock but was redone in silicone instead of rubber. Thanks.

RE: Silicone TBB???
After a couple of hours of looking, I find it funny that I found it minutes after posting the above.
Does anyone have any experience with this TBB?
Here is what I was talking about:
http://shop.achtuning.com/index.asp?...amp;ProdID=543
A silicone throttle body boot for the Audi 2.7T that fits great and won't rip like the factory TBB. Stop worrying about harmful boost leaks, with 4.25mm wall thickness the Achtuning TBB will last the life of your engine. The Achtuning Throttle Body Boot includes 3 constant tension spring loaded clamps and 1 OEM style pinch clamp for the boost sensor.
Our new Version 2 TBB is an injection molded reinforced silicone boot that looks almost exactly like the OEM boot, this allows a stealthy install while giving you a perfect fitment. Unlike the competition, the Achtuning TBB still allows fitment of the boost sensor clamp and does not interfere with fitment of the front engine cover.
This kit fits all the Audi 2.7t engines, B5 S4, C5 A6, and allroad.

OUCH! I would NOT pay 160 bills for that thing when you can get a Samco for 60.

RE: Silicone TBB???
I know it is expensive, but I do like the design a lot. This has the same design as the stock one, but is strong like the samco one. I like the clamp design (did you see the springs in the clamp?), and am sure this will fit same as stock, except this one won't tear. I already decided on the 710N valve. I am leaning back towards keeping my car as stock as possible, but want to address the two main weak points, the DVs and the TBB. I can use the Achtuning TBB and 710N's and the untrained eye wouldn't know the difference.I can get two 710Ns and asamco tbb for$150 ortwo 710Ns and a achtuning TBB for $230. It's $80 more for what I want.
Does anyone have any pictures of their samco tbb installed? I've got to make up my mind to take advantage of the sales[sm=happy046.gif]

RE: Silicone TBB???
Will a silicone tube kit for the S4 fit the A6 2.7. I know its the same engine, but I dont know if the placement is the same, meaning the same sizetubes. The reason I'm asking because when I look for silicone tubes for a A6, I can only find the throttle body boot.

Its some tubes in the kit that I want. I know its from ebay, but they want like $500 for a Samco kit, this kit is $80.
