Default Slow 2.7t?

Alright so iv'e had my car for a little while now and decided to try hooking it up to the acceleration option on my Vag-Com.

So I took it out to a barely traveled country road out of town (its iowa, theres a lot of those) and made a few runs. I did one the first nite and it showed a 15.7 then 3 the second nite at 15.8 16.0 16.6

now i know these things are not extremely accurate, mine only showed an accuracy of +- .69s but still i cant believe that every run would read high

It was a little warm but only in the low 80s

Im just wonderin if my car really is slow or is this what i should be seeing from it. I was expecting more like low 15s?

First, the runs will get slower as your intercoolers heat up. Second, you include no information on the age, mileage and etc. of the car, all of which impact performance. Last, the A6 is a big, heavy car. It is not a good drag race car. It is for cruising and repairing, not racing.

Just for my own sake:
What do you mean by "run"?

My educated guess is you are recording the time the car reaches certain speed?
Or the time you travel a certain distance?

To make the thing short: a stock car makes 0-100km in:
6.7 sec –manual
6.1 sec - automatic

Or vice versa…

Have you ever heard about Nisan GT-R?

As already stated, these things are not drag racers. They are made to run on the autobahn all day at high speeds -- I just returned from a 600 mile trip yesterday and drove 70-85 mph most of the way. It is entirely happy and stable at speed. You can improve hp with a chip, which results in faster acceleration, but it could be at the expense of your tranny or drive train. Think carefully how you treat a 10-year old, high mileage car. Also, all those Mustangs and fart-can racers you want to beat have a low rear gear so they accelerate well but w/o much high end (you're limited to 133 mph but these things can do 150+ chipped). If you want to maintain pride, challenge any RWD to a drag race in 6" of snow. See what Quattro can really do.
