Default So do i have the usual control arm failures ?

not a clunk that is usually reported but more of a rattle . At first i thought I had a loose caliper or broken spring but detected none of that ... In fact it seams to make noise when i hit up on outer tie rod arm the same rattleing sound .. but i just can't pin it down .. there is nothing fastened there except to upper control arms by the dreaded pinch bolt.
I guess it could be something in the steering rack as that is the only other piece on their .. anyone else experience a rattle sound when going over uneven surfaces and have it be the control arms ?
thanks
