Default Some help on a replacement a6

Lost my 96 A6 to an engine fire this past week. "Negociating" with my insurance company (I hope to have it all settled this week). I have found a 2001 A6 2.8, Audi Certified with 43000 mi for around $17,500. I know the complete history of the car and have contacted the former owner. Anybody see a problem? The car is silver with black leather, cold weather pkg, sunroof, alloys, drives like a new car.

As I drove the '96 140,000 mi (I bought ie at 34000 mi) with no major problems (just tires and brakes) I have some loyalty and hope the '01 will last as long. I hated to lose the old car but maybe the replacement will be as good!

Man, good luck. Tires and brakes to 140,000. Thats not the gist of things I get from this site. I just bought my car and am prepared for a barrage of maintenance duties. Well "prepared" is not the appropriate word, I'll go with Braced. I'd like to hear what anyone else on this site has to say about the carefree ownership you are hoping for. If it is possible, I Will breathe alot easier. Not to be a naysayer, I have just thought of this car as more of a commitment. I'd better go knock on some wood.
