Default Some Important Questions. Need Help

Hey there, I just have a few questions about my 2000 2.7t. I have subs and an amp connected to my car. And i know its the subs doing it but when i check my battery there is mass corrosion coming from the terminal and the ground wire, i will clean it out and it will get bad again within a couple weeks. I was just wondering why it does that? (none of my other friends batteries do that) and do you think a capacitor would help me out?

And one more, i took my amp out a couple days ago and the wires accidentally touched. My radio and all the center lights turned off but then i would turn my radio back on. However, now all my air conditioning and heat and all of those lower options in the center do not light up or turn on anymore. I am wondering if anyone knows for sure what went on or if the wires just blew the fuses in the center?

Thanks alot to anyone who helps, i really need it.

I don't have an answer to your terminal corrosion question, but their are products you can buy from the local parts store to remedy that....you simply spray the posts to SLOW the rate corrosion.

As far as the accessories issue,I would try the simplest thing first and check the fuses.

Clean the terminals and use a sealer

Find the blown fuse and replace it.

wierd that wires out of your amp caused somethign in your car's fusebox to blow?! ... well the wires coming off the batter to your amp right? Is there a fuse on that wire because you need a fuse to be in between your amp and battery

if you dont have one that would explain the crapped up terminals too
