HOW MANY MEMBERS WOULD BE INTERESTED IN A GROUP PURCHASE OF THE TIMING BELT TOOLS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THIS WORK? I BELONG TO A COBRA KIT CAR CLUB THAT NEED A CERTAIN SET OF TOOLS AND WENT THIS ROUTE. IF INTERESTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
2000 A6 2.7T. EACH MEMBER WOULD PAY FOR SHIPPING AND WOULD HAVE TO BE PART OF THE GROUP. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY MEMBERS WE NEED, BUT NEED ABOUT 10 TO KEEP THE COST DOWN.

 

Can you provide a ballpark cost for the tools? Also, is the tool set exclusive to a specific model/year of vehicle?

I am definately interested here in Virginia. I already started taking everything apart to do engine mounts, bi-pipe, and anything else I can get to. Also noticed oil in the driver side boost pipe and intercooler. I may need to rebuild the turbo or go ahead and upgrade while I have everything apart if I can find parts at a good price.
