Default Spark Plug Wires

I need to replace my plug wires, my A6 has about 106,000 miles. Is that normal mileage for plug wires. Has anyone had problems with aftermarket plug wires?

100k is about normal for plug wires, so you're right on it. I haven't seen any threads about people having problems with aftermarket plug wires so i doubt it.

In fact, I'd prefer 8mm aftermarket wires vs OEM. Better and cheaper.

I am replacing my original wires (currently at 153,000 miles), but not because misfires or in conjunction with a CEL. When I popped them out, the broken top of a spark plug remained in. I decided to rather replace'm all than trying to pulling it apart and risk not to get it back in the proper shape.
After all, it is time for a new set that may provide for proper conductivity along with new spark plugs.
Moreover, I found the set (Bosch) at only $ 81 - Arizona Autohaus; cheapest price around.

Still running original plug wires at 138k, and have experienced no missing and gas mileage is steady. I guess I'll put plug wires on my wish list, along with ss brake lines.

Don't you have a 2.7T? Thats completely different than the 2.8L which only has three coils and long *** spark plug wires, almost like a honda minus the distributor.
