I have a 2000 Audi A6 4.2 V8, I try to start it and it really tries but it seems like it isn't getting any fuel. We checked the fuses and their fine but no error codes, just no start. Any help I can get with this would be appreciated.

 

have you cracked off the fuel line to see if youve got any fuel pressure/flow? if you dont id suspect a faulty fuel pump or a blockage (most likely a pump, the pump could also just be weak, i.e suppling a tiny amount of fuel, not enough to start and run it) if you do have fuel pressure then youve got an engine based problem that could be any one of a number of things. if you do crack off the fuel line have a rag around it cos lots of fuel should **** everywhere, obviously safety is a concern here!

 

Just replaced the pump runs perfectly, and doesn't take a day and a half to start. Thank you.
