Default spec stg II clutch & spec lwfw

i had a trying few weeks with my ride. i was at the wrong end of a hit-n-run about 6 weeks ago. the following day, my clutch started slipping. so, i ordered a spec stage II clutch and lwfw. i had the bumper fixed in a week and then the clutch and fw put in a week later. i picked up my car on my lunch break, parked for 3 hours at my job and came back out to find out i had been hit again....in the same spot! my brand new painted bumper!! arrrgh. fortunately i was able to buff it out, but jeesh! so, i started the break-in period, i figured 500 miles of city driving would do it. after 300 BORING miles i was feeling good. went out for a night drive to add to my total and found i was riding on the wheel. somewhere i had picked up a nail. it was on the inside elbow, couldn't be repaired. so, in addition to paying about $4.70 per gallon for gas (makes the break-in period that much more $$$), now i had to shell out $200 for a new tire. this all happened on a friday night. i didn't get the new tire installed until monday. picked it up in the morning, picked up ANOTHER nail on a different tire that afternoon. fortunately, that one could be patched....the next day. then, it was time to go on vacation. i was gone another week. FINALLY, i finished the break-in yesterday.
/end rant

so, i decided to do a proper test. i had an opportunity to run decker canyon rd yesterday. i had a blast! even tho i never made it past 3rd gear, i really put the clutch thru it's paces. i am very happy with how grabby it is. and, the lwfw really spins up fast. i have not had much of a problem adjusting to the combo. it is very similiar to stock.

i had to make a slight modification to my launch since the flywheel is so much lighter. but, the combo is great for me. the only negative i can say is that there is a bit of chatter in 2nd and 3rd gear.

Hey cbock!

Thanks for the kind words! I knew you would love it because I love mine. You get used to the chatter!

Happy driving!

Can you record the sound? I am not experiencing this at all. Maybe something might be loose....but it's tough to diagnose with what you have explained so far. Can you get the car on a rack and inspect everything around the tranny?
