Hi, Have a whine in the power steering. Got some fluid from Audi and brought the level up to where it should be. The whine is still there! Tried bleeding the air by turning the wheel back and forth, but no luck, still air coming up in the reservoir. Any ideas on getting it out? and then if that does not do it what does it take to change the pump? Ken

 

YOU SHOULD READ THE OTHER THREAD ABOUT STEERING WHEEL NOISE, IT'S NOT AN ISSUE. ALL QUATTRO AUDI'S SOUND LIKE THIS WHEN YOU TURN THE STEERING WHEEL UNTIL IT STOPS.

 

It didn't make any noise before.

 

ARE YOU POSITIVE? NORMALLY YOU WON'T EVEN NOTICE IT UNTIL YOU SIT THERE AND TURN THE WHEEL. BELIEVE ME ALL OF THEM DO IT. BUT IF YOU WANT TO GO THRU THE HEADACHE, TIME AND MONEY TO HAVE THE SAME RESULTS, GO AHEAD AND MAKE THE ATTEMPT.
