Good morning,

My 2000 Audi A6 2.8 occasionally especially when cold acceleration sticks or even starts increasing speed on its own.
The only way I can resolve this is to try to brake to a roll where I can shut off the vehicle and shut it off and continue to restart it until it revs at a normal rpm.

when restarting it the first few times it will want to redline and will not idle down, but after repeated restarts it will rev at 3500 then slowly idle down to normal operation then the car seem to drive correctly.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!!
