My A6 is having some sunroof problems. The sunroof closes about 80-90% and then opens back up. There is nothing in the way of it closing. I have no clue why it does it. It closes sometimes but most of the time it takes a while before it actually closes. Anyone ever have this problem or know what I can do to fix it?

 

I have had the same problem with my 98 a4 though. It closes fine, but half the time it opens back up on its own.

 

The answer for both of your posts would be the switch or (potentiometer) they commonly go bad causing anything from the sunroof not moving to it acting like its possessed.

 

so how would i go about fixing this switch, or does it have to be replaced?
