Suspension repair
Hey guys, so the as usual the story is I hit a few pot holes and seemed to have roughed up the suspension a bit.
I live in chicago so there are always massive pot holes crater like, yet the city is not about to fix any of them. Well they did fix one that was a real big problem that caused people to keep getting a flat tire, they had to put cones around it and fix it because it was backing up traffic. Anyways driving home the ohter day I tried to avoid a known pot hole but apparetnly it got bigger, I tried to go to the right side of the pot hole but over time it got bigger and went fromt he right lane all the way to the curb, which I couldn't really tell because there was a puddle so boom I hit it. Also the other night I was driving in an unknown parking lot and I tried to avoid this BMW when what do you know I go over a parking curb that was really low, which I have no idea why it was there in the first place it was not the big yellow concrete parking stops you see at the end of a parking space, but litearlly just a random curb or median as you could call it that extended into the parking lot. Which I didn't see in the first place beacsue there was 2-3 inches of snow in the parking lot already.
Now driving today I noticed a clunking noise when braking but it soon went away after 2-3 stops. I did search it and it linked to maybe a tie rod end, which before I had bought my car were already replace along with the CV boots, and also there seems to be quite a bit more noise in the cabin.
I was thinking of buying the entire upgraded control arms and heavy duty tie rod ends from ECS tuning. My question for is do you guys think I should still go into the dealer for an inspection to check if there is anything else wrong with the car? I don't plan on taking it to the stealership and having them do any repairs. Any input is appreciated thanks.
