I have only recently purchased a lovely 2002 diesel A6. Everything was fine until yesterday when without anything happening that I know of the Symphony II system just stopped. The lights are on but there is nothing appearing on the display and no button pressing or attempts to enter any code into the system get any results.

Anyone heard of this or got a solution would be greatful.

 

Usually those symptoms requirre a new radio. Try pulling the fuse. That may make it temporarily work again.

 

Thanks for your help, Decided to disconnect the battery for a little while. When the battery reconnected the stereo came back to life normally.
