Hey my passenger side brake light went out and I tried to replace the bulb but it still didn't work. I was wondering if I had to buy a new circuit board for the tail light and if so were can I buy one. Or is there anything I can do to fix the problem. Is have a 2006 Audi A6 3.2L Quattro

 

Very common problem. I have had to replace the entire light unit for both sides

I just had the dealer replace them. If you search AW there is a thread about rebuilding the units. Some people have been successful some people have not. For me it was just easier to replace the units.
