Tearing my c5 a6 apart, question about upper exhaust...
hello everyone, the front differential is definitely what i've been complaining about making noise for a little while now, and it started sounding worse recently, so i've started tearing it down to pull the tranny out. i've almost got it completely apart, but i have one question. how the heck are you supposed to get at the upper exhaust bolts to disconnect the midpipe?
thanks in advance,
mike

Man, seems you don't have a lot of luck with your car. More I am reading forum - more thoughts on the
AudirealiabilityI am getting.
On my own cara "few" things has been done recently: complete new lefthead, both CV joints, front upper arms, front wheel bearing, transmission and differential seals... Just waiting what will be next!

yeah, unfortunately i've only had the car for a month, so i'm a little bit angry that i've got to do all this work already. i've got to replace the driver's side hub bearing as well as the passenger side control arm pinch bolt on top of it all. i guess it just sucks to be me.

Man thatsa hard job if you don't have the tool to hang the engine, if you don't have it i would take all the subframe bolts out exept for the two main front bolts but un-bolt them about half way and let the engine and tranny hang down and then you need a big damn extension with a wobbly socket to get at the cat bolts.
