Default Are these points good for jack/jack stand?

Hi, stole the picture somewhere else and marked positions 1, 2 & 3. Those places look sturdy and convenient for jacking up the car (2000 a6 2.7t) with mysmall floor jack (unfortunately) and jack stands. I wonder if they are safefor the purpose. One guy did mention that he did use 1 for stand. Thank you very much!

Thanks! Always feel good with an answer from a tech certified. How about floor jack at 2 and then jack stand at 3? Thanks! I feel that is the best way to jack up my car with my tools.

Yes, I saw this picture also. I got somewhat confused though. First, how can you jack up the car and then put the jack stand in almost the same position? Second, I looked at those positions yesterday but they appeared to somewhat soft. Did I look at the wrong positions, maybe? Anybody has a close-up picture? Thank you very much!

depends on the jack I use a 3ton but in most cases you can fit the Axel stand within reach of the lift point ( you could use the Axel stand as a safety issue and locate it on the chassis

^^definitely use with extreme caution personally I hate them, as for answer #4 it does look confusing but there is quit a large area so you should still be able to put the axel stand in there but the other points on the first post would be a good location for the stands
