Just courious what you guys think of the 99-01 Avant's, since most probably have the sedans. Now personally i really like them just as well as the sedan models, but it's nice to be a little diffrent. Also an added perk is my sub will sound clean once I have it installed, I'm also plan on putting on 17 inch RS4 reps (gunmetal since its a black car) after winter. Was also thinking RS6 18 inch five spoke but have had and seen many bad experinces with NEPA roads. Thanks!

 

I love avants, especially when they are done right.
I also love the allroads which are dead sexy to me.

 

I agree with auditech79 on both points...I wish I would have gotten an Avant or Allroad. But, I do love what I have

 

This would probaby be a good place to introduce myself...I just got my first Audi, and it is a 1999 Avant. Its Black in color, and it is one great looking car I have to say. I'll post pictures tommorrow if anybody is interested.

I have a 97 Avant and love the extra room. It isn't as lively as my old 200QT or nimble as the 90QT but it does a great job. I drive 100 miles each day and actuall enjoy the time I am in the car.

Great car, especially as it's a S6 and manual

 

I still don't understand that why does Audi has Avant for NA market. I personally like Avant a lot, but I don't remember the last time I saw one on the road. Europe is a different thing all together. I have seen so many Avants on one single day at Autobahn cruising at 230 Kmph. I would stick to Avant, if I were you. Never liked station wagons, though, Avant is just simply great.

 

Yes, I agree! I visited Europe last summer and saw a lot of wagons in germany as well, I also was never really into wagons, but i was soo excited when i found my Avant, and i couldn't be happier with it.

 

The general consensus with my Avant was like this. (Bear in mind I'm an 18 year old high schooler)

Me: I just got a new car. Audi A6 Wagon
Friends: Dude...a station wagon.
Me: Come look at it...
Friends: That is one badass SPORTS wagon.

Okay, so I may call it a sports wagon. But It really breaks all the rules of a wagon. Heck, mines 8 years old and the styling of the thing STILL looks amazing, and in my mind is better looking than the A6 sedans of the day. It seems more like an SUV crossover, only much lower the ground the sportier.
