Ticking noise in dash??
Hi, anyone familar with a problem concerning a ticking noise coming from the interior of the dashboard (center area) on a 1999, but it only happens sometimes; any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (I read somthing about a small fan that pulls air in from the cabin to a temp sensor, but im not sure if that's it, or if that is a common problem) Thanks!!
Not a common problem nor can i tell you what it is. The blower motor is most likely which is behind the glove box. If its in the center of the dash then probably a blend door in the a/c, if thats the case something shouldn't be working correctly, try adjusting the doors with the a/c unit and see what doesn't work.
Example: defrost, center vents, floor vents, blend ect.

Sorry I forgot to mention that this happens with the heat/ac off, and also when it's on, also and top middle and bottom blows properly, no problems there to my knowledge, but if it's not a common problem i suppose i'll have to hit up the dealership,
Now that you mention it, there is actually change stuck in my card holder, maybe one of the coins fell out or something, but again this only happens somtimes, i'll go to my local foreign shop first, see if they know anything, anyway thanks for your suggestions
Well now that it has been mentioned, I have to say that I experienced the same on more than few occasions. However, I don't think so its a dime or anything as it doesn't sound like one. It sounds more like an turn signal ticking, the sound resembles so much that I have to glance for a sec to make sure turn signal is not on accidentally.

What happens is people think its the common hazard relay going out so they replace it and the buzzing is still going on and the turn signals are malfunctioning. What happens is the turn signal switch (stalk) shorts out the hazard relay and you have to replace both at the exact same time. I don't remember if it was year specific or what, but it doesn't happen a whole lot. I used to do about 1 a month at my shop.
