I have a 06 A6 Quattro 3.2, looking to upgrade the wheels. If the tire pressure sensors are not installed on the new wheels will the alarm stay on? I took the car to my mechanic and he could not shut of the tire pressure sensor alarm in the computor. Was going to purchase the wheels with the tires mounted so it would be a hassel to remove the sensors in the stock rim to install in the new wheels. If there is no choice then I will do it, thanks.

 

You need to buy sensors for the new wheels. Otherwise the warning light will stay on.
