how do i reset the tire pressure sensor? the indicator came on after putting air in the tires, i did a system check and still the indicator comes back on. is there another way to reset it? do i have to go to the dealer?

 

you need to go into the menu and reset it. Its not that hard.

 

either you over filled it or maybe check that spare.

its reset on the stalk switch menu if the car doesn't have MMI....

and Yes...... the spare is always monitored too.

 

Got an Audi A4 Quattro five days ago. Today the tire pressure sensor was activated. I went to the gas station and checked he pressure in all four tires. Two were at 40, one 41, and the fourth at 38. Seem to me that they were all properly inflated. I topped of the 38 to 40 and reset the sensor. Is the sensor that sensitive to detect that one tire had two pounds less than the others? Or, did the sensor malfunction?

 

check the spare tire and inflate it to the same pressure.
