Default TPMS and aftermarket wheels

Looking to move up into some 19" aftermarket wheels and tires on my C6, but friggin Audi tire pressure monitors are abour $400 for the set: what happens if I bypass: can I switch the TPMS using the MMI? Plan on keeping the OEM wheels and tires for winter..
Any warranty issues I need to be aware of?

If your not gonna swap out the tire pressure sensors to the aftermarket wheels there isn't much you can do, the A6 and Q7 don't have a feature to turn off the TPMS, only the A8 does. Audi won't do anything to your warranty if you use aftermarket wheels.

Thanks for the response: Did not see your reponse until after I asked a tech at my local dealer and he indicated that I could turn it off! So I ordered wheels and tires and lo and behold, do not see this option in the MMI....*uck!
So now I either have to live with this buy a new set and have them installed....
