i have a 2000 audi a6 2.8 quattro. im having some trouble with my transmission, driving forward is perfect but reversing not so much. it seems like my reverse doesnt catch until i lay the pedal to the floor. i changed my oil and did a transmission fluid flush with little improvement but not so much. Any help?

 

its probably the torque converter. scan the car for codes to be positive.
also i really hope by flush you mean just a simple fluid and filter change. flushing the tranny is nothing but bad news.

i you dont have a vag- buy the cheap $10 cables from ebay and download the software from ross tech (free) and do your own diagnostics.

 

Its been my rule of thumb, it it won't go in reverse, it needs rebuilding....barring an analysis by an expert in this unit with tools and instruments.
