Transmission Problem? Or what could it be?
Guys,
When I hit the brake sometimes, I feel a shaking or when I'm driving and maybe switching gears, the car also shakes. ( i have an automatic transmission) This happens sometimes not daily, but I think it's something that needs to be looked at.
I have a 2002 A6, quattro about to hit 100K miles.

That is really vague. Can you be a ton more specific?
If your car shakes when you brake, it's a braking problem, most likely warped rotors; if it shakes when you are shifting then it's probably a transmission problem, low fluid or it just going bad; if it shakes when you are accelerating it can be a drivetrain problem, sometimes drive shafts/bearings; if it shakes at highway speeds it's probably your tires; if it shakes when going slow and turning, it can be a suspension problem. Eh?
