2002 A6 2.7t tip Dealer says both Turbos are leaking. They said it would be $4000 for the Turbos plus labor. Not sure what to do.

Thats Too bad. How many miles you got. If you want to keep the car, sounds like a great time for an upgrade. Also, the dealer can be expensive. Try to find a smaller shop that has worked on these cars in the past. I know some people in CT. Where you from.

Once the engine is off for turbos replacement, there is a good opportunity to work on the TM, multiple pums, PCV... I'd consider TC replacement as well.
Look at the forum for previously posted labor and parts info.

 

Your quote sounds about right. I just had both replaced. They have to drop the whole motor to do the job. On that year they had the old style oil lines (4 of them) they would need to be replaced too. Also expensive. If your going to put that kind of cash into the car make sure everything else is working properly and that the trans is in good condition. If that goes, by the time your done with everything you could have, should have bought a new one! Good Luck!

 

I would get my current Turbos pulled and repaired for around 650-1k in parts + labor. Or that quote sounds pretty good from thea dealer.
