Default turn signal problem

hey guys.

my turn signals started behaving weird today, it blinks for like once or twice then it stops (both left and right).
however, they both blink fine with the hazard switch

i did a search here and found something related to the relay switch, but in those cases the signals do not work AT ALL.
so i am wondering if you guys have know anything about this, i am sure they will charge me a good hour of labor if i bring it to a shop.
thanks!!

Kevin

Definitely the relay switch. Mine did the same thing, as well as other people's.
It's really easy to change. The relay is part of the hazard switch. Just pop off the trim, pop out the hazard switch, unplug it and replace.

Edit: I got mine from http://www2.discountgermanparts.com/...Flasher+Switch It came as one piece (relay and hazard switch).

Yeah, mine had the same symptoms, the blinkers would blink once then stop, but hazards worked fine.

I took the relay switch apart and cleaned up the coil contact a little bit and it started working again! don't know how long it would last though, will probably get a new switch next time
