Unknown Problem?
Yesterday I was checking my A6's battery and realized there was alot of corrosion on my battery. So I dedcided to unscrew the plugs and clean up the terminal. This morning when I'm on my way out of the house I find my car dead, After school I jumped it, and after turning it off it was dead again, instantly. So I used baking soda and warm water to run out ALL of the corrosion. Jumped it again, drove around, turned it off and it was dead again. I just got a new battery in October. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. And the weird thing is i just tried starting it and of course it dead, but then i turned on my radio by pressing the button and tried starting it again because i thought it was dead and it started. It is just a mystery to me..

RE: Unknown Problem?
Check the wiring/connections, a battery from last October shouldn't have a lot of corrosion. While it's running, what is the voltmeter showing, is it under 12 volts? Either the battery is toast or your alternator is over-charging which also kills the battery. Have both tested at an electrical shop.

RE: Unknown Problem?
I think I may have gotten it running but i will se how it is tomorrow morning. I have a couple other questions however. My when first start driving my car seems to rev a little more going into second gear and i dont know what is causing it, and also everytime i let go of the break it makes a sound of something losing air but i have no clue what it is, its a shame I'm not a car expert
