Default Value of a 2000 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and to the Audi world. I'm hoping someone can help me out with a few questions I have regarding an A6.

Someone is selling an Audi A6 2.7T Quattro in my area and I really want to pick it up as a project car.

I'm no stranger to turning wrenches, I'm just looking for a new challenge. I've never owned an Audi before, but have always wanted one. Now that I'm in the place to do so, I'd like to buy this one.

I know it'll probably need some TLC when/if I pick, but I'd just like to get an idea of what the experts here feel the car is worth.

I haven't had a chance to speak in depth with the seller, but I will be calling him back later today.

The car has over 200kms on it, the body seems to be in decent shape, the chassis also looks to be in decent shape (no serious rust, etc).

Where I live, we have Emissions testing, and I pulled the history and the car failed it's last test in March 2013. At the time, the car was showing the following codes:

P0140 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P1113 ?
P1114 ?
P1118 ?

I'm assuming the car has been sitting ever since because you aren't able to 'legally' plate the car unless it passes the emissions test.

Any suggestions, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

P1113, P1114, P1118 are all Oxygen sensors and maybe ECT sensor so no biggie. Offer him $1000 and spend a few bucks on it. If it's all good otherwise it's looking like a deal. Worst case scenario you can part it out for more than you paid.
