Believe it or not, the Audi shop can actually save you money such as in this case and many others..they can also troubleshoot your current problem, they have the software and trained Audi techs to do it..if you'd payed alittle attention to the forums here or talked to your Audi service techs..you would most likely not be having such potentially serious problems...sorry, that's why we all come here. Look at it this way..you need the best advise you can get right now..it's time to bite the bullet do what needs to be done to save a great car even if it's not a quattro

BTW, the people who did your trannie fluid change might have a responsibility if that's the problem. Audi's are one of the worlds best but it's an owners lady that likes being treated to the best.
Good luck and keep use posted so others can learn..that's a requirement here

That's the other thing ive thought about too. When im out of school for the summer ill probably take it to an actual shop that's dedicated to fixing Audis. I know of 2 good places in the houston area. my car is in great shape and other than the vibrating issue at low RPMs it runs great and looks great and everything works on it. It would still be cheaper to fix it than try to buy a new car and start having monthly payments. Is there any possibility of it being a vacuum leak? would that cause the problems im experiencing right now? Also one other thing i didnt mention, when its been cool/cold outside the car doesnt really do the chugging thing much at all. now that its hot it seems to be worse....
