VIN Lookup?
#2
Well what exactly did you want to find out? The VINs are easy to decode (to find model, year, etc.) but obviously this wouldn't include features. If you have access to the car you can decode the option codes found in the spare wheel well to get a detailed list of what the car originally came with. All recall info and stuff would be stored with Audi and they're usually (sometimes) nice enough to look it up for free.

Well, it used to be 29.95 for 10 days, IIRC. Nowadays Carfax charges $ 34.99 for one report and $ 44.99 for 5 reports.
AutoCheck offers unlimited reports for $ 44.99. When some folks purchase reports from either and have extra left after checking the car they're interested in, they offer to provide free look-ups for others. If you're not lucky to run into someone like that, you'll have to buy yourself (you said you have plenty money, right?) a report (or more) for peace of mind. Or at least you can ask the seller to provide you with a carfax/autocheck history report.
