Default Water damaged transmission control unit

My vag-com couldn't communicate with the trans unit on my A6. I found pin 88 rotted away which indeed is the K-line. I opened up the controller and the inside is just full of corrosion. Some of the components you can't even see. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone has a used one, or could refer me to someone who might. Thanks

Funny thing is, the carpet and foam in passengers footwell was completely dry. No sign of ever having a water issue. I wonder how many other people have the same issue and don't know?

If people do not now they are having an issue - reporting an absence of it would be questionable, or saturating the forum would result.

Usually people know - reports are common here.
Use the search option.
Look for junk yards.

I had this happen... It's unfortunate and seems to happen to alot of A6's. The usual blocked sunroof drains, or the blocked plug under the battery, or the windshield screen plastic under the wipers, or the cover pulled away allowing water in through the cabin air filter all seem to be an issue. I had a few pins rot.. I (beliefe it or not, replaced my TCM but before installing it I pisconnected the battery, dunked the whole connector in muratic acid, then soda water right away and blew off with an airhose. This ate any corrosion I had on the connecter away. I wouldn't recommend this method though, I was in a tight spot and had the (this is the last straw before a new harness) mentality. Mine was bad, really bad. My whole floorboard was flooded.
