I'm really new to the A6, but on some cars the evaporator module for the Air Conditioning has a drain tube. If that tube plugs up or becomes disconnected the water can go to the interior of the car rather than out the tube under the car.

Hope this helps,
Dave

Check to see if your car is on the recall list.

More than likely given the location its the age old problem of the drain under the battery being clogged you will need to pull the battery and get that drain opened up. also pull the carpet up in front of the front passenger seat you will find the trans control module in a black plastic box open it up and make sure no water got into it. If you have any water laying in the floor below where that box is there is a body plug there that you can pull and let it drain out the bottom of the car. There is a class action lawsuit regarding this problem and the sunroof drain problem so like it was said above you might want to check with the dealer and see what they will do about it.

In addition to the battery drain, check the coweling or whatever you call it at the base of the windshield. In my car and many others, this has been known to separate from the glass and allow water into the cabin air filter after which it drains into the passenger footwell.

Isn't here a class action suite against audi right now pertaining to this?
