water in trunk
I have a 99 A6 in great running condition and well maintained. All of a sudden I find a pool of water in the spare tire well. There are no apparant holes in the metal and I along with the dealer are stumped as to where it is coming from. Any ideas?
a common leakage point for water in trunks are the tail lights...have the dealer take off the tail lights (or if you want to save money yourself you can remove them) and just add more sealer and see if that helps
We had similar with our A6.
My husband suspected the rear wash / wipe was leaking inside the car.
My garage has told me today, that on initial inspection the wiper motor is turning round in the housing.
They say will be quite a big job (1.5 - 2 hours) to inspect inside the tail gate.
I can't understand why the motor would have broken loose.
This has probably caused the water supply to come loose.
Does anyone else have experience of this?
