What Diverter Valves To Use?
Hey,
For a 2001 a6 2.7t will a forge race dv fit or do i need the forge 007 "a line". Which one is the better one? Or which brands do you guys recomend that will fit easily, and give the best results with the best sound not using bov?

Yes, the race diverter will work. The 007 is a piston design where the race valve is a diaphram like the stock valves. You can customize the spring rates on the race valve to adjust the responsiveness. As far as which one is better that is all opinion, both are much better than stock valves.

If you are going to recirculate the valve and keep the stock air box system then there will be no or very little change in sound from any valve other than a BOV which dumps the air to the atmosphere instead of recirculating it. Of course this set up will cause a rich condition between shifts and could cause stumbling problems.
When changing to an aftermarket DV there will be a very small increase in performance of the car due to the new valves ability to hold higher boost pressures and its better responsivness. But the difference in performance between one aftermarket valve and another is too small to measure.
