Sorry to bother but I recently just bought a 98 A6 quattro and I need some advices on which oil brand I should use? I was told to use Mobil 1 but I don't know which would be proper for the car. Any advices would be much appreciated. Also, another problem I have encountered is that after I pump gas, the car would stall for about 5 secs, don't understand why it would since I pump premium like suggested. But after the car starts, it runs smoothly. At first, I thought it was because the battery is low, but I soon realize that it only occurs after I pump gas into the car.

 

I use Castrol Full Synthetic., at the Audi shop that works on my car they use only Castrol Full Synthetic to but I think its an even better type than the one I use.

I was also told that the Audi Dealers use Castrol Full Synthetic also as OE brand in the cars. So I would use Castrol since they use it also. You wont go wrong with Mobil 1 though it is another excellent oil that wont do any harm, so ither would be fine.
